Don't forget the Annual General Meeting to be held at 7.30pm on 18th October at the Puss in Boots pub, Buxton Road, Macclesfield.
Many items of interest to members are due to be discussed, as well as the election of a new committee.
You are reminded that it is in your interests to come along and make your views known. If you wish to nominate members to the committee please make sure that you have a "seconder" and that the person is willing to accept the nomination.

The Annual Poynton Show

The annual Poynton Show will be held on Saturday 27th August 2011 (Saturday
of the Bank Holiday Weekend. This is the Saturday before your Brookfield Lane
Allotments Show. If any of your members would like to have a 'practice run'
before your own show, they would be welcome to enter some of our exhibition
classes, (around 200 at last count). We are not just a horticultural show,
there is a wide range of other sections too. There is something to interest
everyone and it's a great day out for all the family!

There will be a quiz with an allotment theme!
Food eg hot pot will be provided for £3.50 each but we need to know if you will definitely want food by 16th February (by email, telephone or by adding your name on the poster on site.)
Manure Delivery
The first manure delivery was made last week and hopefully there will be another very soon.
It would be great if someone could pass on the information on the web site when the new delivery arrives so people have a chance to go and get their share. There should be plenty to go around!

Just one courgetto. Give it to me.
It’s called “zucchini” in Italy.
To marrow, if we’re too late,
It’s now or never, so please don’t wait.
When I first saw it
With its flesh so tender,

My soul surrendered.

Waiting for the right time.
Now that it’s near,
